My jaw was literally hanged when I received an instagram notice from Susie bubble at 12am New York time. I completely forgotten that I've joined a competition that Susie held previously inviting the lucky winners to come along with her to Hermès Silk theme ball. I considered myself to be lucky and the oddness tingling my sense thinking that it could've been anybody beside me. However I deeply appreciate it and started to looked out for any cocktail dress that'll suits the theme. Long story short, I decided I shall become a dead cleopatra whilst Shanka made an ultimate remark saying that "she is dead, alright". Well whatever I would still go on with my own interpretation of masquerade, the theme was all about beauty and beast, mask, silk (duh) and head dress.
Moving on to the event itself I handed in my invitation, walked down to the venue and collecting a distributed extra mask for our drunk faces (perhaps). Hermès silks covering the short entrance ceiling, still I thought what a wasteful way to appreciate it's beauty. The loud thumping of music fulfilled this small venue which is located in Koko Camden ranging from R&B into House music remix. Food sections was truly enjoyable especially when a handsome waiter offer you foods. Mocktail and cocktail overflowing our dried throat, wide variation of cocktails have been perfectly served by the talented bartender. On the top floor, the fortune telling sections and make up sections are both ready to satisfy guests on their own way. I picked fortune telling, since might as well gamble on tonights lady luck who knows I might get to know someone *wink *wink.
Basically the event was all about Hermès silk appreciation and how you could use it in a different ways such as decoration (for god sake, who on earth would decorate their house with Hermès silk). I had a chance to meet up with the other winners as well, it was a really enjoyable aristocratic night I guess.
