I know it was a sudden decision, but I definitely would not regret it. Fortunate of me to get a week of holiday in regard for a reading week that took places differently throughout any United Kingdom colleges. Mine happened to be this week, so I decided to go out somewhere before any of my assignment due. Istanbul wasn't the first choice I had in mind thinking of all the flight expenses and hotel booking. While browsing through Expedia I found a very good deal for it (hotel and flight y'all!) as I was comparing it to other local destination. I thought, why not? I immediately squeal out of excitement and rushed out to do my packing going. My closest colleagues accompanying me along the journey which are Shanka and Handoko in which however still an Istanbul virgin.
That was part of the travel randomness story of mine, probably I did somehow become adapted to the current term so called "YOLO' too deeply. Istanbul wasn't a bad choice after all! thinking of it's weather was far more soothing compare to London. I was mistaken that 15 degrees going to be an icy cold temperature therefore I packed too many of winter clothes leaving my luggage bulged out as if it's going to burst. I wasn't really that impressed with my flight options tho, should've think about it more carefully next time.
So move along from blabbering, the very first place that I stepped upon is obviously our accommodation for the night called The ambassador hotel. Thankfully I was fully satisfied with it, they have a wonderful services, rooms and also ridiculously good location ( I called it ridiculous since I booked it based on my instinct) turns out this hotel is situated right across the most important historical places in Istanbul and It was just about 2-3 minutes walk. Second places that I visit happened to be the famous is Sultan Ahmed mosque or so called the 'blue' mosque. I didn't bring something to cover up my hideous blue hair so they lent me a veil to wrap our head. Third places that I visit was Taksim shopping square although I didn't shop anything as am sick seeing a high street brand so we decided to try authentic sisha from Turkey, was really cheap and nice of course! that's our first day in Istanbul, this pictures will summarize up if you tired to read this grammatical error post.
